Marunda Reservoir Project Needs Rp 185 Billion More

One of the reasons why the completion of Marunda Reservoir, Cilincing, North Jakarta, is behind schedule is because some lands and buildings have not been acquisitioned yet. To do so, budget as much as Rp 200 billion is needed. Meanwhile, the 2014 City Budget only has Rp 15 billion left. Thus, Jakarta Provincial Government is short of Rp 185 billion.

If could, land acquisition should be done immediately. Or else, the budget could be higher because NJOP and building value changes every year

Based on the data given by North Jakarta Land Procurement Committee (P2T), the land needed to build Marunda Reservoir is 56 hectares. But until now, the land that has been acquisitioned is only 36 hectares. The remaining 20 hectares will be inventoried to be then acquisitioned some time soon.

As for the buildings belong to the residents, according to inventory result year 2009-2010, it was recorded that in Kampung Rawa Kuning RW 02 there were 176 buildings which consist of 60 permanent buildings, 3 semi-permanent buildings, and 111 emergency buildings. These buildings were spread in RT 01, 03, 09, 010, 011, 012, and 013.

Jokowi: Marunda Reservoir Construction Finish This End of Year

North Jakarta Administration Secretary, Junaedi, admitted that the amount of buildings might have changed since the inventory was done five years ago. Thus, his party will do re-inventory. He also hopes the budget would be available soon.

“We’re currently holding socialization to the residents. If the budget is available, we’ll directly ask North Jakarta National Land Agency (BPN) to do inventory and proceed with land acquisition,” he stated, Friday (8/8).

According to Junaedi, Rp 200 billion is needed to finish the land acquisition. That amount is based on Tax Object Selling Value (NJOP) which increases this year to Rp 1,032,000 per square meter, or 30 percent higher than 2009 NJOP which only Rp 700,000 per square meter.

“If could, land acquisition should be done immediately. Or else, the budget could be higher because NJOP and building value changes every year,” he uttered.
